Business Development Manager, Sales, Toronto (Hybrid)

Overview:
Global X is looking for a Business Development Manager (Ontario) to join our Sales team. This is an opportunity to join one of Canada’s most innovative ETF providers. The successful candidate will be focused on developing and maintaining business relationships in an assigned sales territory.
The Business Development Manager will work closely with a VP (Wholesaler) and have experience in marketing financial products to retail CIRO investment advisors and portfolio managers. The successful candidate will have a track record of consistently hitting sales and activity expectations and extensive experience in cold calling. They will also have an enthusiastic approach to sales, and contribute to the team culture.

Responsibilities:
- Represent Global X and our products to increase market share and grow assets under management
- Work with the Wholesaler and the broader sales team to form a sales strategy for the assigned territory
- Work with the Wholesaler on territory organization: event planning, territory management, email communication schedules, campaigns, CRM updates, etc.
- Proactively develop and evolve in a high-performance work environment
- Develop new business relationships and attract new advisor clients, primarily by email and phone
- Deliver exceptional and timely service to key advisor clients, responding to their needs
- Identify opportunities and present solutions that are suitable for client needs and encourage them to take necessary action
Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record of success in sales to retail clients
- Strong communication skills and the ability to create a positive rapport with clients over the phone and in a virtual meeting
- The desire to work within an effective, high-performing team
- Ability to prioritize, organize and execute sales plans
- Understanding of Canadian financial markets
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC®) required
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration
- Completion of (or enrolment in) a financial services program leading to a designation is an asset (e.g. CFA, FCSI, CIM, etc.)
