We’re halfway through 2026, and markets have been anything but quiet. Geopolitical tensions, shifting central bank signals, uneven growth, and a steady stream of market-moving headlines have left investors with plenty to digest.
Join us for an interactive conversation focused on the road ahead: what could go right, what could go wrong, and how investors may want to think about positioning for the second half of 2026.
Two speakers will unpack the market outlook from a U.S., Canadian, and global perspective, exploring key questions such as:
- Inflation: last mile or next shock?
Are central banks closer to victory, or could sticky services inflation and energy risks complicate the path?
- Rates: pause, pivot, or surprise?
What could drive the next move from the Fed, Bank of Canada and central banks around the world? And what would it mean for fixed income markets and the global economy? - AI boom or bubble risk?
Is mega-cap tech spending setting up a productivity super cycle, or are concentration and valuations flashing warning signs? - Trade reset or fragmentation risk?
As tariffs, supply chains, and industrial policy reshape global commerce, where are the risks, and where could winners emerge? - Commodities super cycle or short-term surge?
As AI infrastructure, electrification, power demand, and supply constraints reshape the need for critical resources, are commodities becoming a more important portfolio opportunity? - Canada: value opportunity or warning sign?
With Canadian equities trading at a discount to U.S. markets, could improving sentiment, lower rates, or stronger commodity exposure help close the gap?
